What are tags?

Tags are keywords that you can add to your collections or items. Tags on Collectish have three important functions:

Discoverability

Tagging your items makes it easy to find them later on, and it also makes it more likely that other people will discover your items too.

Creating Collections

Collectish enables you to group together items containing certain tags into one or more Collections. Collections are a great way for you to organise and categorise your items.

Public Collections

On each Collectish item page, we show links to some items held by public collecting institutions around the world. Collectish searches these public collections using the tags attached to the Collectish item so that we can link to things that are similar or related to the Collectish item you happen to be looking at.
