Creating Collections

Things to check before you create a collection

Have you added any items yet?

Before you can create a collection, you must have added some collection items. If you don't have any items, then you won't have anything to add to the collection!

Have you tagged your items?

Any item you wish to add to a collection must be tagged with one or more keywords.

In Collectish, Tags are used as the method of selecting which items are included in a Collection. For example, if you created a collection using the tag "green", then items tagged with "green" would become part of that collection. If you added the tag "blue", then items tagged "green" or "blue" will be included also.

How to create a collection

To create a collection:

1. From the Main Menu, select Organise > Create a Collection
2. Enter a name for your Collection
3. Enter a description for your collection. For example, you can tell people what interests you about the items in the collection, or why you have grouped then together
4. Select the order that you would like the items to appear when you view your Collection. Items can be sorted by:
   • The date the item was uploaded (recent items come first)
   • The Rating that you give to the item (highest rated come first)
5. Enter one or more tags, seperated by commas. Any items that you have tagged with these keywords will be included in this collection.
   
   Alternatively, you can click on tags in the list underneath the tag entry box. Click on a tag once to include it; click on it again to remove it.
   
   As you add & remove tags, you'll see the list of items within the collection update automatically.
6. When you're done, click on Save.
