Improving Public Collection Results

If you're finding that the Public Collection links returned on your items are not very relevant, there are a couple of ways you can improve this.

Try changing the Item Type

The Item Type field appears underneath the public collection search results. Collectish uses it to work out which public collections to search. Choose a value that best represents your item.

Try changing the order of the tags on the item.

If your item has several tags, those that come first are more likely to be used by Collectish to search public collections. Try changing the order of your item tags so that tags which best describe your item appear before more general tags.

For example, say your item is tagged with paper, red, postage, stamp, india & 1942. Some of these terms (stamp, india, 1942) are fairly specific. The rest (red, paper, postage) don't really give much of a clue about the item. If you change the tags so that more specific words appear first (eg: stamp, india, 1942, red, paper, postage), you're more likely to get back results that are related to the collectish item.
